The house

A private home, designed for unhurried days.

Built traditionally from rammed earth and arranged around a garden courtyard, Dar Louisa balances calm Moroccan architecture with contemporary art, collected objects and the comforts of a much-loved home.

Rooms with character

Sleep deeply. Wake slowly.

Three calm double bedrooms each have an ensuite bathroom, air conditioning, heating and a small private terrace for the first coffee of the morning.

The fourth is a wonderfully flexible room with two separate double sleeping platforms, its own stairways and a shared bathroom, dressing and television area below—ideal for children, cousins or close friends.

Inside Dar Louisa

A real home, made extraordinary.

The house was created by French architects and garden designers Arnaud Maurières and Eric Ossart, whose rammed-earth homes are rooted in the landscape of southern Morocco.

Downstairs, two salons face one another across the courtyard. The dining room and kitchen sit to one side, with the hammam and massage room behind for health and indulgence. Upstairs, bedrooms and an atelier open onto private terraces.

Gardens & pool

An oasis at the centre of the house.

Flowers, palms and fruit trees gather around the emerald plunge pool, creating a cool, shaded place to retreat in the heat of the day.

Above the rooftops

Sun, shade and a terrace to yourself.

Two large roof terraces offer room for sunbathing, reading and long evenings together. Both have sunbeds and covered seating; one sits above the main house while the other feels pleasingly private and removed.
